Totland Bay Post Office

The Broadway Inn doubles as the village Post office, a throw back to the 1800's when Mr J B Garlick was postmaster at Totland Bay until 1902. Mr Garlick is famous for having helped Signor Marconi with his experiments in wireless transmissions in 1897.

The Post Office re-opened in The Broadway Inn 1 year ago following campaigns from locals to bring a village post office back to the area.

Postmaster and Landlord David Filby, had the original Totland Post Office prior to it's closure so was delighted when local residents rallied support for a new facility within the pub.

The Post Office provides all of the most important facilities and offers a service between 11 am and 3 pm 6 days a week to local residents and visitors alike, including bill payments, pensions, insurance, cash withdrawals, mobile phone top ups and foreign currency.
